3rd Shift Manager (Manufacturing, Production Operations)
Location: Lackawanna County, PA
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 (DOE) + up to 15% Bonus + Benefits
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) w/ match, Holidays, PTO
Job Type: Full-Time
Typical Hours: 11:00 pm-7:00 am (Monday PM-Saturday AM); 8-hour shifts
Training: ~1 month on 1st Shift (7:00 am-3:00 pm)

3rd Shift Manager (Manufacturing, Production Operations) Description

Our client is looking for a 3rd Shift Manager to add to their team. You will be responsible for managing the major functional areas in the manufacturing plant, participate in the ongoing program of equipment optimization for improved quality, increased production, and reduced waste. To be considered for this role, you must have at least five years of manufacturing and production operations experience with at least two years of leadership, supervisory or management experience. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of lean manufacturing. 3rd Shift Manager (Manufacturing, Production Operations) Responsibilities

• Evaluate and promote best practices and optimal utilization of resources
• Develop plans for the efficient use of materials, machines, capital and employees
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation within the department, and with other departments
• Ensure production targets for timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy are met
• Ensure safe work practices and working conditions exist at all times
• Recommend measures to improve production, equipment performance, and product quality
• Provide leadership, manage, train and develop employees
• Oversee the continuous improvement process and remove obstructions
• Assist with equipment optimization, improve quality, increase production, and reduce waste
• Maintain open and honest communication throughout the organization.
• Complete on-time performance assessments for direct reports and hourly workforce

3rd Shift Manager (Manufacturing, Production Operations) Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing and production operations experience required
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory or management experience required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Database or inventory management system experience required
