Production Lead - Soybeans- Marshall MO

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Production Lead for Supporting Functions within our Marshall, MO Soybean production facility you will direct and lead a team of 5-8 technicians that ensure our farmer customers have the innovative seed options they need come planting season. You will focus specifically on special functions such as safety, quality control and compliance with leadership, direction and guidance to a team of individuals performing best practice processes ensuring safe and sustainable operations.

As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will have leadership support responsibility for the site Production Managers, Production Associates and are expected to get results through high personal proficiency, delegation of tasks, coordinating the work of others, developing/coaching others, developing the team and collaborating regionally to innovate and improve processes.

You will work onsite at our Marshall MO facility (primarily early first shift hours) and report to the Site Lead.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Production Lead - are to:

• Embrace and demonstrate a safety first culture at all times;
• Responsible for a team of individuals and processes at the Marshall, Mo site;
• Perform daily operations as directed by site leadership;
• Be accountable for safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules while maintaining an efficient operation;
• Perform duties in a manner that support overall site Key Metrics to include: Safety; Quality, TIP (total individual volume performance), TOP (total overall volume performance), and cost efficiency;
• Embrace an environment that promotes the building of good working relationships within the site;
• Participates in the execution of HSE (Heath Safety and Environment), Quality Management System (QMS),and One PSS (internal tracking) programs;
• The primary focus of this role is on special functions like safety and quality , but may also contribute in plant operations such as conditioning, packaging, lab operations, warehouse / inventory management / distribution, carryover, etc. as assigned by the site leadership team;
• Participates in field operations such as planting, detasseling, field inspections and mapping, harvest, etc.;
• Supports compliance with Global Stewardship and Corporate Quality;
• Management procedures and policies in addition to Crop Level and site specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Develops influencing skills through motivation, recognition, leadership, and development;
• This position is member of the Site Leadership Team, leading the team supporting plant and/or field operations. The Production Lead has leadership responsibility for the site Production Managers, Production Associates and is expected to get results through high personal proficiency, delegation of tasks, coordinating the work of others, developing/coaching others, developing the team and collaborating regionally to innovate and improve processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree;
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain or agriculture;
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, supply chain, manufacturing;
• Master degree or MBA;
• Focused experience with production related safety, quality and compliance;
• Agriculture production experience.
