Role Overview
We are looking for:
- Ensures continuous operation and efficient production by troubleshooting daily process problems and develops long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Designs, plans, and performs process experiments and studies to derive information required to develop sound engineering solutions for achieving process improvements to optimize plant efficiency and
- product quality.
- Researches and investigates new methodology for advantageous application. Communicates and interacts effectively with other technical plant engineering staff as well as all levels of production personnel in support of project implementation, problem solving, and continuous improvement objectives.
- Tracks day-to-day production, plant energy and costs, and coordinates projects and contractors to support site objectives.

- To find and develop process improvements and assume responsibility for plant projects is essential.
- Innovative, highly motivated self-starter to conceive and initiate new projects through daily interaction with operators, mechanics, peers, supervisors and managers is required.
- Must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems with innovative approaches and work in a multidisciplinary teamenvironment.
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from a four-year accredited college or university required.
- 5+ years of experience with chemical plant experience required.
- Other engineering or technical degrees from a four-year accredited college or university with chemical manufacturing experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills are an absolute necessity.
Addtional information:
- Must be able to work in dusty, hot, and/or noisy environments and in adverse weather conditions with appropriate available personal protection, which at times is mandatory. This includes, but is not limited to, hot liquors and gases ranging from 150to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, dust, extreme heat, extreme cold (below zero) high moisture and other extreme conditions.
- Must be able to ascend and descend four to ten foot ladders, and must be able to ascend and descend stairways on a regular basis for gaining access to and working on elevated areas.
- Must be able to lift, pull/push and carry, equipment and objects weighing 0-50 pounds from ground level to above waist level on a regular basis. Must also twist, carry and handle high-pressure hoses for extended (1-2 hours) periods of time.
- Must be able to wear basic safety equipment such as hard hat, steel toe shoes and safety glasses, on a regular basis. On occasion,
- must be able to wear safety lanyards, respiratory protection devices, and other required safety equipment for specific tasks
