Product Testing & Design Lead
is responsible for building and executing testing strategies and capabilities required to support product development and testing needs. These capabilities are critical to support from prototype, MVP to final product launching. The successful candidate can think strategically, work with agility and can also thrive in ambiguity. Likewise, they have great learning capabilities and communication skills.

Scope: Leads team of 2-3


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the MMS Prototype and Testing Lab

  • Responsible for developing and executing testing strategy and roadmap to accelerate product development.
    • Working with leader and peers within MMS team to ensure clarity on testing strategy and roadmap.
    • Contribute and improve testing strategy and roadmap as program continue to evolve.
  • Responsible for building internal testing capabilities and process to enable product development.
    • Develop skills and knowledge required for building enclosure testing, including but not limited to structural, moisture, air/vapor, fire.
    • Continue to build and develop understanding of building physics and material performance, and how material and design drive building envelop performance on key functions.
    • Analyze testing data and present key learnings and insights to accelerate learning and decision making.
    • Operate MMS prototype and test lab to meet business needs and OC standard.
  • Responsible for developing external testing network that is required for MMS.
    • Identify suitable testing partners for various stages of testing.
    • Coordinate with external partners to ensure timely execution of appropriate testing

  • Provide leadership to direct report and peers though coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of organizational capabilities.
  • Work with team on career development through the creation of growth and development plans.
  • Continue to grow and stay current on key discipline and ensure that the team continues to develop their technical capability.
  • Encourage partnership and collaboration across people and teams to maximize performance.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years’ experience with a combination of program/project management, product development, testing and research.
  • Understand or have capabilities to understand building science and material science, understand how material performance and system design impacts building envelop performance.
  • Bachelor and above degree in related discipline, including but not limited to building science, engineering, material science, architectural science.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ experience in product testing, preferably within Building application.
  • Has experience in structuring problems and scoping/executing projects in complex situations.
  • People leadership experience
  • Working independently and managing time across multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Leading deep technical discussions and market/customer discussions.
