The Product Specialist – Diagnostics is responsible for introducing new product programs through commercialization as well as maintaining existing Diagnostics product lines. This role leads, facilitates, or otherwise participates in day-to-day activities of the Diagnostics product portfolio, including but not limited to customer visits, pricing, forecasting, sales training, reporting, and sourcing decisions.

As a Product Specialist, You Will:

  • Manage new product launches for diagnostics products in cooperation with Engineering, Operations, and Sales/Marketing.
  • Conduct extensive research to understand and anticipate our customers' needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, technologies, competitors, customer base, market size, channels of distribution, industry trade associations and required product certifications.
  • Analyze existing product sales and work closely with sales team to understand underlying performance drivers of existing product categories and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct pricing analyses and assist in driving strategic pricing decisions to grow margin while gaining share.
  • Actively support the Sales function, including product training, developing competitive product information, creating the value propositions, and working with end user customers.
  • Provide analytical support for product management team, as needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in product management, marketing, sales or engineering experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Initiative and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical skills to support new product recommendations, pricing decisions, and other category initiatives.
  • Core skills in planning, organizing, and process management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or a related field.
  • Consumer products experience and sales experience preferred.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule dependent on your department and leadership approval. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
