Job description
The position is Product Safety and Compliance Specialist Our ideal candidate has some laboratory and administrative experience in a manufacturing facility.Compensation:
$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Performs basic lab testing, such as transit tests and measuring parts
- Creates and sends out reports to customers
- Performs incoming product inspection and issues reports
- Fills in for QC inspector vacancies
- Maintains laboratory equipment and requests supplies as needed
- Maintains department meeting minutes
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
- Maintains ISO document control system
- High School graduate
- Some college preferred, technical certificate
- Detail-Oriented
- Organizational skills
- Communication
- Critical thinking
- Some knowledge/exposure of ISO 9001
- Knowledge of QC practices, instrument operation and maintenance, and result report
- Knowledge of proficiency testing standards and practice
- One to three years experience as an administrative assistant
- Familiarity with common manufacturing terminology
