Product Development Manager

Gift manufacturer seeks Product Development Manager.

Responsibilties include but not limited to:

-Creating merchandise assortments for retailers

-Providing guidance for designers on what CADs and designs to render

-Determining and writing production specs for products

-Proofing production art

-Communication with overseas suppliers regarding sourcing and current orders

-Brainstorming ideas for new formats and designs

-Trend forecasting

-Project Management of retailer collections and a specific category or categories:

-creating spreadsheets with item numbers, specs, etc

-tracking changes and updates

-sourcing when needed

-managing samples

-Product sample comments

-Managing Powerpoint presentations for sales team

-Managing product development for specific retail accounts

-Interacting with our sales team for retailer meeting prep and post-meeting action items

Must have at least 4 years of experience with product development. Strong communication skills are also required. Must be proficient in Excel and Powerpoint and adept at learning new systems.
