Iowa Distilling Company is a fast-growing native distillery in Cumming, Iowa. Located just a few short minutes from Des Moines and West Des Moines. We create and produce handcrafted spirits for the State of Iowa to enjoy. We are continuing to grow, and we need help in a processing associate role. We are a small company that depends on dedicated individuals who show up on time and with a positive work attitude to help produce our Top Shelf Spirits with a Down Home Spin. Our staff needs to be able to switch between tasks, be comfortable with working in a fast paced environment and understand how it takes everyone to make timely deliveries of our premium products. They need to have attention to detail and pride in workmanship and quality.

The Processing Associate’s responsibilities and duties include:

● Maintain a clean and stocked workspace

● Use Standard Operating Procedures and verbal direction to become familiar with and operate the bottling/labeling equipment and processes

● Pallet jack and forklift operation

● Palletize product to be shipped

● Batch, bottle, label and stage our products to be shipped

● Be able to keep track and record production metrics (some data entry possible)

● Maintain high product quality levels by learning and inspecting for company standards

● Assist production team with tasks involved in making spirits as needed (moving materials, equipment maintenance, warehouse organization projects, etc.)

● Equipment change-overs and end-of-day cleaning

Associate qualifications and skills:

● High School diploma/ GED

● High-energy, self-starter

● Arrives on time and ready to work

● Ability to operate a pallet jack

● Forklift experience is a plus

● Mechanical aptitude a plus

● Ability to carry and move heavy objects (50+ lbs) safely and with assistance when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
