Process Technician – FAST RESPONSE TEAM

This Process Technician position, under direct supervision, is responsible for assisting with various engineering projects starting from the project origination and carrying through the testing phase. Additional responsibilities include, planning, developing, and/or evaluating a new project or process and working with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of the project.

Requirements:

• Knowledge with HPDC is preferred. If not Mechanic experience in stamping industries, plastic injection mold.
• Know how to hook up and operate internal cooling/hot oil lines on the diecast tool.
• Pneumatic Troubleshooting Experience and Understanding of High-pressure Manifolds.
• Change filters, grease fittings, Filter hydraulic per schedule.
• Hoist and Fork Truck Experience is a must.
• Able to learn and operate Buhler Diecast Machines, previous experience with Buhler or other diecast machine is preferred.
• Knowledge of Diecasting and castings quality requirements is a plus.

General:

• Help mentor less experience employees on the job.
• Should be flexible on weekends – on call.
• SMED team member

Credentials

• Machine license or equivalent education and experience.

• Certification in industrial engineering or manufacturing technology or in a related field is an asset.

• Minimum three years of Set-Up Technician experience in a machine shop (preferably high volume environment).

• Ability to refer to assembly drawings and diagrams to follow installation and calibration procedures.

• Able to confirm dimensions of products using precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and angle finders.

• Ability to evaluate the condition and reliability of production equipment.

• Able to modify CNC programs for Machining Centers, Lathes and Special Purpose Machinery.

• Knowledge of IATF 16949, SPC, and related procedures.

• Use computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining.
