MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for machine start-up
• Responsible to achieve the minimum possible mold change/set-up time.
• Mold changes to include the following:
• Proper watering of molds.
• Proper clamping of molds.
• Basic machine operations.
• Basic machine set-up: barrel heats, pressures, timers, clamp settings, and all clamp functions.
• Safety responsibilities.
• Properly reading mold schedule and mold identification.
• Maintain machine cleanliness to include the following:
• Build proper chutes to contain parts as ejected from machines.
• Clean purge and excess material from machines.
• Remove any parts, etc. – from under machines.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety standards and procedures
• First response to all machine, robot, thermolater and secondary equipment alarms
• Ensure machines and robots are running at optimum efficiency
• Troubleshoot machine, mold and material issues
• Responsible for the accurate completion of Process Verification and Master Set-up Sheets.
• Responsible for maintaining the appearance of all Thermolaters, Robot Control Stations, DME units, etc.
• Ensures proper care of all equipment especially the managing and proper disposal of all purgings.
• Drive the reduction of scrap through elimination of mold conditions using corrective action and mold repair items.
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by your Supervisor requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years experience in troubleshooting injection molding preferred.
• Must be experienced in mold set-ups and troubleshooting.
• Robotics experience preferred.
• Must be willing to stay current with technology through continuous education.
• Working knowledge of plant machinery, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatic preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in thermoplastic injection molding preferred
• Knowledge of injection mold machines, tools, plastics, and robotics
• Mechanical aptitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position is located in a manufacturing environment, and may involve physical activity such as bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and sitting for long periods of time, in addition to lifting up to 50lbs.
