What You'll Do
- Work with various functions to develop new production processes and optimize current processes to meet customer requirements
- Act as the subject matter expert on the interpretation and maintenance of product specifications
- Act as the subject matter expert on the implementation of business and production processes to meet the specifications
- Plan length of and difficulties of tasks and projects, breaks down objectives and goals into specific steps for completion
- Lead efforts to maintain and improve various aspects of the quality system as a key member of quality system leadership team
- Establish and maintain training programs to keep personnel updated in inspection and test methods and quality standards
- Provide technical support to Sales and directly to customers with inquiries and customer complaints
- Promote an awareness of quality requirements throughout all manufacturing areas
What You'll Need
- Knowledge and experience of safe operation of metallurgical testing equipment and operating in lab and / or industrial environment
- Process Management, understands processes and organizes efforts through combining and separating tasks for efficient work flow
- Problem solving ability to use logic and methods to solve business and process related problems with effective solutions
- Presentation skills to train and offer technical support in both a one-on-one facet and for large groups
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system a plus
- Occasional (<10%), single and multiple day travel to other CMC mills and customers both domestic and international
- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
Your Education
- Bachelors in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science/Engineering with Metallurgy specialization
