Process Engineer
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to support the Extrusion/Backing Line process for one of the largest, innovative carpet tile manufacturing plants in Shaw Industries, located in Adairsville, GA.

Essential Duties:
- Demonstrate a passion for safety, environmental compliance, and manufacturing excellence.
- Assists in the completion of equipment modifications, expensed projects, and capital improvement projects to improve safety, housekeeping, product quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system problems, identifying and correcting root causes.
- Participate in the development and achievement of the department’s annual goals and training plan.
- Assist in the performance of all aspects of proper project management, including thorough scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, bid development, procurement, craft/contractor management, departmental communication, installation/construction, debugging, commissioning, and project documentation.
- Support plant maintenance activities through coordination of work order completion.
- Provide support to department teams relative to project development, job quotes, improvement suggestions, etc.
- Provide leadership to co-ops and OMTs assigned to department, as needed, including skills development and on-the-job training.
- Assist in maintaining critical safety and environmental audits, testing, and inspections, to include records maintenance.
Education:
Must have 4-year engineering degree. BSME or BSEE preferred. Other engineering degrees considered.

Other Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with mechanical systems.
- Other duties and assignments are required as directed by management.
- Ability to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and weekends as needed for start-ups, training, or troubleshooting.

**This position will be offered as a Process Engineer S05 or S06 depending on experience and qualifications.**
