Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman is the nation’s largest law firm focused on matters specific to health care organizations. Hall Render is currently seeking a mid-level or senior lateral attorney to join our Privacy Service Line. Candidates should have at least 6-10 years of experience and be well versed in HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, GDPR, FTC privacy, and state data privacy and data breach laws. Responsibilities include assisting clients on matters involving: policy assessment and development; workforce and management training; privacy and security audits; business associate agreements; data use/data processing agreements; privacy notice development; compliance with patient right of access rules; data breach response; breach assessment and notification; and regulatory investigations.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work with various types of health care organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and other health care providers and organizations. The attorney could be based in Hall Render’s Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Raleigh or Troy (Michigan) office, or remotely depending on the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Hall Render offers competitive compensation and benefits. Benefits include medical/vision/dental/disability/life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing, parental leave, CLE allowance, and cell phone. For purposes of complying with Colorado pay transparency requirements, a good faith estimate of the annualized salary range for this role will be $180,000 to $275,000, depending on the candidate’s overall experience, potential portable book of business, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
