Job Summary:

Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) offers an excellent opportunity to join our diverse, energetic, and collaborative environment in support of the Mechanical & Machining department within the Procurement organization. You will foster relationships with suppliers and subcontracts in a fashion consistent with integrated supply chain models, recognizing the role and value of each participant through the acquisition life cycle from requirements generation through product delivery, product support, and payment for products and services. You will engage in supplier performance, relationship management, strategic sourcing as well as facilitate complex business agreements in support of various prime contracts.

Responsibilities to anticipate:

• Place subcontracts/purchase orders of medium complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements
• Review drawings, specifications, and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy for production hardware and build to print mechanical parts
• Prepare, issue, and analyze RFQ responses including addressing any exceptions to flow downs, specifications, quality notes or terms and conditions
• Perform price/cost analysis techniques in support of proposals and PO placement
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions)
• Perform routine post-award management activities including PO acknowledgement, delivery status, expedites, risk mitigation, receiving issues and invoice issues
• Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors
• Support supplier development activities for mechanical suppliers (hardware/mechanical items)
• Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc) to achieve objectives including financial goals
• Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical and quality) in support of flawless supplier execution for programs
• Coordinate meetings between suppliers and internal customers
• The position is fully remote

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
• DoD procurement experience and demonstrated knowledge/compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications We Value:

• Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field
• Experience in working with mechanical/machining suppliers
• Project planning and management skills (ex: MS Project, EVMS)
• SAP based environment experience
• Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services – including Statement of Work (SOW) review
• Familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)
• Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price etc.)
• Assess proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)
• Experience with single source, over-TINA procurements

Additional Details:

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $161,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or Non- U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
