Futures Recovery Healthcare is a state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta, Florida of Palm Beach County. Futures treats addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders using an evidence-based, holistic approach that integrates somatic medicine, psychotherapies, physical therapy, and wellness services. Futures offers a comprehensive residential and detoxification program, the Orenda concierge program, the RISE adventure-based program, as well as outpatient services. Futures emphasizes individualization, quality, compassion, continuing care, and alumni involvement.

We are currently seeking a Primary Therapist for our Orenda Program that must have experience in Mental Health. Orenda is unique in the understanding of the negative impact of addiction on the patient, family and performance. This understanding is shared across the program and is evident in the scheduling, treatment planning and offerings for each individual. While the Orenda program follows the holistic approach to treating the mind, body and spirit, we are also able to incorporate more resources, individual sessions, specialist practitioners, and invest greater time understanding the challenges of continuing care, family and professional responsibilities.

This position will be responsible for providing a strong therapeutic relationship to the patient, coordinating the course of treatment within the multidisciplinary treatment team through the formulation, implementation and guidance of a written treatment plan based upon assessed needs. The Primary Therapist will provide support to the family, integrating them in the treatment process when possible. The Primary Therapist will address relapse prevention as well as participate in the coordination of continuing care plan(s). Must have availability to work one weekend day.

Requirements:

  • Master degree from an accredited school in behavioral sciences, counseling, or related human services.
  • Licensed Professional. LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW
  • 1 to 2 years-experience in an outpatient, day treatment, residential and/or hospital setting addressing the substance dependency and/or mental health issues of identified patients
  • Comprehensive understanding of Disease of Addiction and the treatment of individuals with substance dependency and mental health issues
  • A comprehensive understanding of the emotional and behavioral effects of addiction
  • Exceptional one on one communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail as well as strong organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use clinical software and other software programs
