Responsibilities:
This person will be called upon to make repairs to guest room and public spaces as necessary including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.- Responsibilities will also include operating various equipment, maintaining domestic hot and cold water systems, and observing various electrical switchgear to ensure proper operation.
- Receive direction from engineering management on daily assignments or projects and complete within the time and manner specified or in accordance with hotel needs.
- Receive direction for house calls via radio and respond promptly and appropriately.
- Understand and be able to receive and update work requests from the work request system (Synergy).
- Complete appropriate documents and logs for work assigned on a daily basis or as a project.
- Maintain all equipment according to equipment preventive maintenance program.
- Make all repairs according to manufacture specifications.
- Clean all work areas after completing a job.
- Schedule and complete equipment PMs.
- Operate and maintain low-pressure boiler for the hot water system.
- Operate and maintain other vessels as needed for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
- Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
- Receive direction for house calls via radio.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
- Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Uphold all Omni Associate policies in regards to standards of appearance and having a neat, professional appearance.
Must have experience in hotel maintenance which includes plumbing and electrica- Previous experience with response to emergency situations is preferred
- Must be able to work two overnight shifts, one day shift and two PM shifts.
- Must possess general maintenance knowledge.
- Willingness to always abide by health & safety practices and regulations
- Ability to assist all guests with a friendly and outgoing demeanor
- Ability or prioritize and self-manage assigned work.
- Demonstrate understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to fully understand, read and write in the English language.
- Candidate must have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools and to include Personal protective equipment.
- Ability to properly prioritize workload in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer and guest satisfaction skills are preferred
- The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- The ability to bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
- The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.
