PRETREATMENT COORDINATOR/LAB TECHNICIAN FOR CITY OF FRANKLIN’S

WASTEWATER DIVISION

The City of Franklin is accepting applications for the position of Pretreatment

Coordinator/Lab Technician for the Wastewater Division. Job duties include:

Review and analyze industrial wastewater monitoring reports submitted by industries. Coordinate and implement industrial sampling, inspections, and analysis. Meet with industrial representatives to discuss specific problems and solutions. Coordinate with state and federal EPA officials to ensure City is in compliance with necessary regulations. Daily process control testing.

Maintenance, standardization, and calibration of laboratory equipment. Maintains laboratory in orderly and professional manner. Assists operation and maintenance personnel as needed. Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college or technical school with major course work in chemistry, environmental science, or related fields. A bachelor degree with emphasis in chemistry, biology, or environmental science is preferred. Must possess valid Kentucky driver’s license, mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and sound judgment. Pay: $17.23 - $20.00 per hour
