The President of GrandView Aviation will provide leadership and coordination of the company in all aspects of the organization.
Position Skills, Knowledge and Duties
- The President will provide the vision and mission of the overall organization, and ensure compliance with Just Culture throughout
- Oversee financial aspects including P&L responsibility and CapEx management, set approval limits for the management team, and oversee the weekly review of account aging and invoice margins
- Stay up to date on industry trends in areas that affect the business (Jet A fuel, staffing trends, competitor strategy and new entrants, industry regulations, OEM production, and market threats)
- Oversee the go-to-market strategy of the sales and marketing teams, and manage business goals for charter and transplant Sales Directors
- The President will oversee fleet network planning and ensure high fleet utilization while maintaining operational safety and quality
- Represent the company in various boards such as NATA, ACSF, FAA rulemaking committees and non-profit boards, etc.
- Build Grandview's industry reputation through public speaking and thought leadership
- Ensure and oversee compliance with all regulatory agencies including State and Federal employment and business law, FAA, DOT, CBP with the support of the flight operations team
- Oversee employee communications and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices
- The President will assist in the development of staffing resources and compensation planning
- Oversee and guide strategic planning including:
- Oversight and development of company systems and software, including our existing Flight management systems (SchedAero and Salesforce.com), and integrations between critical systems (CAMP, Monday and Zapier)
- Support long-term initiatives such as flight data monitoring, the flight simulator program, the opening of new bases, in-house maintenance program, aircraft acquisition, facility design and buildouts
- Oversee large vendor agreements including Embraer Parts Programs, Pratt & Whitney Engine programs, hangar leases, spare engine programs, vendor aircraft holds, contract fuel programs and the donor acuity reporting program.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
- Seven years of proven success in business aviation
- Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in planning sales strategies, and developing business goals and objectives
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CRM software, reporting and analytics, flight optimization and advanced Excel tools.
- Work requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule
- 20% travel
Preferred Requirements
- MBA or Masters of Finance
- Aviation background or knowledge required - part 135 preferred
