About us

Thorndale Learning Center is a Christian Preschool and part of the ministry of Thorndale United Methodist Church. Our goal is to teach the whole child as they develop social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual growth..

We are looking for a kind and caring Preschool Teacher to join our team. The right candidate should have experience working with young children and should enjoy teaching in a fun and hands-on environment. We currently have an immediate need for a teacher in our 3-year-old class. We are looking for someone with a natural ability to engage small children and make learning fun. Along with teaching a strong academic curriculum we teach the foundations of Christian values.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Supervise teacher aides, volunteers and resource providers in the classroom.
  • Design and supervise activities that contain the whole child aprpoach to child development and learning.
  • Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, and development.
  • Provide weekly and monthly schedules and newsletters to parents.
  • Must be able to provide all PA and Federal background clearances.

Job Type: Part-time

Experience:

  • Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
