Copeland Run Academy in Downingtown is currently seeking a Full time Director position for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
For over 40 years, we have been nurturing young children (ages 2-5) to grow socially, emotionally and academically in a safe, encouraging and stimulating environment.
We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, enthusiastic, and organized. This candidate should be a strong leader who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. They should enjoy working with staff members, children, families and the community.

Responsibilities include:
1. Hire, train and supervise staff
2. Purchase supplies, equipment and snack
3. Operate the center according to state, licensing standards
4. Assist Teachers with weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities.
5. Execute a marketing plan necessary to maintain enrollment
6. Ensure a safe environment for children
7. Maintain clean and sanitary environment
8. Work with staff in solving conflicts between children and helps to communicate with parents
9. Run our 9 week summer camp program

Educational Credentials-

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services Field
• Must have 1 or more years experience working with children ages 2-5 in a supervisory role.
• PA Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Pre-K, Early Childhood Education or Early Grade required
• Must meet state specific guidelines including obtaining necessary clearances; PA Child Abuse, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Record, FBI Background Check and NSOR clearances required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain
