We are currently hiring for a Prepress Specialist who is proactive, assertive, creative, and highly organized for our Ball Ground, Georgia location.

Schedule: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Ball Ground, GA)

Requirements:

• A degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Macintosh and PC Platforms
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Familiarity with FTP site applications
• A detail-oriented mindset, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to multi-task
• Excellent customer service skills, professional attitude, and maturity
• Verbal and written communication skills

Skills:

• Customer Service - communicate with clients daily to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and specifications.
• Preflight client supplied artwork and troubleshooting issues regarding quality of artwork, file setup, fonts and support imagery.
• Capable of working as a team member as well as individually on multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to organize digital files for all projects.
• Capable of fielding preflight/graphic related questions from clients, team members and other internal departments once trained on internal processes.

Tasks:

As a Prepress Operator here at Planet, you'll be responsible for reviewing and preparing digital files for printing prior to going into production.

Tasks will include checking art files for proper size, resolution, fonts, format, finishing information, color profiles, and linked files. Additionally, you will add registration marks, job information, cutting/finishing paths, and bleed. Imposition of artwork for material conservation and production speed. These tasks may vary based on the file complexity, printing method and substrate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
