Summary of Work:

To be responsible for the preparation of food complying with all applicable state sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards by following established food production policies and procedures for the health, comfort, and benefit of our customers.

Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30am - 11:00am

Payrate: $15.00/hour + $1.00 Shift Premium

Principle Tasks:

• Prepare menu items from written and verbal directions
• Make independent decisions regarding daily food production to ensure timely, quality service of menu items and by effectively using time between workloads.
• Participate in ordering food product for caterings.
• Ability to perform skilled work in the preparation and packing of food.
• Assist in the development of recipes and adjusting when shortages arise.
• Pack food properly for transportation.
• Understand and assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
• Report necessary equipment repairs and supply needs to Dining Manager
• Must be flexible and able to change as needed.
• Work as a positive member of the Dining Team
• Repeatedly lift and/or otherwise move cases, pans of food and other materials
• Maintains high standards of personal hygiene.
• Implement a safe and sanitary work environment by following safety and health guidelines.
• Participate in team processes for continuous improvement.
• Performing kitchen maintenance tasks such as emptying trash and washing dishes.
• Ensure food is stored properly and tested at specific intervals for proper temperature.
• Ability to pay special attention to detail.
• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils.

Physical Demands:

Work with frequent interruptions. Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling required. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions required. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds required.
