Preconstruction Estimator

Gilbert, AZ

Fulltime/Permanent

Position Summary:

The Preconstruction Estimator is responsible for understanding the project bid requirements for analysis and selecting the metrics needed to produce valid estimates.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Understands and evaluates the requirements of each project.

· Visits sites of project locations to gather essential information.

· Analyzes subcontractor quotes for missing or inaccurate cost estimates.

· Communicates with the Project Manager regarding costs during the project course of construction.

· Performs special assignments and other duties as determined by the Operations Manager or President.

· Communicates effectively.

· Maintains strong relationships inside and outside of the organization.

· Fosters relationships with key subcontractors, architects, and clients.

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision and multi-task in a construction environment.

· Superior attention to detail and process oriented.

· Excellent negotiation and team collaboration skills.

· Timely follow up.

· Well-organized and reliable.

Immediate Supervisor: This position reports to theOperations Manager and President.

Required Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Management, or related field.

· Proven experience as a Construction Estimator.

· Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and construction software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

• Gilbert, AZ 85233: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
