The Role:

We are seeking a Power Management Engineer (REQ#AC-2440) to join our team based in our Santa Clara, CA office.


What you'll do:

Conduct Pre-Silicon Power estimation and analysis. Set up the power analysis environment at the Register Transfer Logic (RTL)-level, and gate-level for power analysis of all design blocks at the pre-silicon stage. Determine tests and benchmarks to run on all blocks for pre-silicon power analysis. Run and review power analysis reports at the RTL-level and gate-level on all design blocks. Identify areas of improvements at the architecture-level, RTL-level, and synthesis. Determine power optimization budgets for all blocks, and setup runs to validate them as the design progresses. Conduct power analysis methodology and automation development. Evaluate industry standard tools for Power analysis at various levels of abstraction RTL and gate using simulation and emulation activity. Create the power analysis and estimation methodology and develop scripts to automate the power runs and post process the results. Track results across blocks, milestones, projects.

  • Analyzing electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility.
  • Conferring with engineers, customers, vendors, or others to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products.
  • Operating computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform electronics engineering tasks.
  • Recommending repair or design modifications of electronics components or systems, based on factors such as environment, service, cost, or system capabilities.
  • Designing electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications.

May telecommute (hybrid position). Reports to Santa Clara, CA.


What You’ll Bring:

Experience must include:

  • Two (2) years of experience with power analysis using gate-level and RTL-power analysis tools.
  • Two (2) years of experience with power analysis and optimization on CMOS designs.
  • Two (2) years of experience with ASIC/SOC designs and workloads.
  • Two (2) years of experience with solid programming and scripting skills using Perl/Python/Tcl.

Education

  • Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience in CPU physical design, analysis, and implementation.

Pay and Benefits

Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The wage range for this role is between $126,464.00 to $194,000.00 per year.
