THE POSITION:

We are looking for photographers that love what they do and take pride in taking great quality pictures; capturing memories that parents will cherish forever is the key to this position. Equipment and comprehensive training will be provided by VOS. Hourly rate is $17-$25/hour, depending on experience. Photographers can expect to work approximately 8-40 hours per week. Hours vary by season. This is a seasonal job in the Warren County area. We typically try to keep your commute within 30 miles of your home. However, we may offer work opportunities in the surrounding region. This position will involve working before and during school hours. Shifts can start as early as 6AM. We sometimes shoot after school and those shifts can start mid-afternoon to evening. You must be willing to work early mornings as this is when most of our shoots occur.

The VOS business office is in McLean, VA, but work will be in the field at our customer schools throughout Loudon County. Travel over 60 miles round trip will be reimbursed at the federal rate (this travel is not a common occurrence).

PRIMARY PORTRAIT DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be professional, energetic, and creative to ensure students/parents/faculty have a positive school picture day experience

· Punctual arrival on location to allow time for correct equipment set up

· Maintain a good workflow to stay on schedule

· Consistently capture memory making high-quality images

· Attention to detail when entering student information into the software

· Represent VOS in a professional manner and follow all company guidelines and directives

· Assist in other duties, as required, to be part of the school portrait team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

MUST BE AVAILABLE THROUGH NOVEMBER 2023

· Prior portrait experience (online portfolio is mandatory and must be provided for review at the same time as job application)

· Strong interpersonal and team skills

· Comfortable working around kids (prior experience preferred, but not mandatory)

· Reliable transportation/driver’s license (Uber-type transportation not acceptable)

· Must pass a background check

· Willingness to travel to customer schools (travel over 60 miles round trip will be reimbursed at the federal mileage rate)
