Peapack Private Wealth Management division includes investment management services provided for individuals and institutions; personal trust services, including services as executor, trustee, administrator, custodian and guardian, and other financial planning, tax preparation and advisory services. Officers from the Peapack Private Wealth Management Division are available to provide wealth management, trust and investment services at the Bank’s headquarters in Bedminster, at private banking locations in Morristown, Princeton and Teaneck, New Jersey and at the Bank’s subsidiaries, PGB Trust & Investments of Delaware, in Greenville, Delaware, Murphy Capital Management, in Gladstone, New Jersey, Quadrant Capital Management in Fairfield, New Jersey and Lassus Wherley in New Providence, New Jersey and Bonita Springs, Florida.

Position Summary:

Portfolio Managers participates in investment activities to support the investment team. Works with clients to establish strategic investment objectives consistent with the client’s risk profile and implement bank portfolio strategies in client portfolios. Work with Wealth Advisors to support the new business efforts of the firm.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and prospects to appropriately risk profile them and help set the client’s strategic objective that is consistent with their risk tolerance.
  • Maintain new and existing client relationships including informing clients of market conditions and economic trends. Report on portfolio performance.
  • Work with Wealth Advisors to assist with sales and marketing activities.
  • Support and coordinate the trading and portfolio rebalancing activities for client portfolios assigned.
  • Conduct investment research to support the investment activities of the firm. May be assigned to one or more investment teams – Strategy; Fixed Income; Equity; Manager Selection; or Model.
  • Understanding the client’s investment objectives and generate an investment policy statement consistent with their strategic objective.
  • Complete compliance activities as required to maintain consistence with the firm’s policies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of market, economic, political, and other relevant topic areas appropriate for investment professions.
  • Responsible for communicating and answering questions directly with clients regarding comments and concerns.
  • Coordinate and maintain a client communication plan for each client in conjunction with other Bank associates.
  • Develops, prepares, and distributes equity screens for investment idea generation as required.
  • Conducts equity research by reviewing and analyzing company investor material and sell side research for the purposes of stock selection as required.
  • Conduct credit analysis on corporate bonds as required
  • Maintains trading models on the bank’s trading platform as required.
  • Blocks and execute trades as required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the Bank and its customers.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the Wealth Management clients.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with Wealth Management clients and Bank personnel from other departments either in person or over the telephone
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly
  • Knowledge of own department’s operations, policies, and procedures
  • Must be an organized, independent, and detail-minded individual

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Attends required special events as needed as a representative of the Bank
  • Special projects and other related duties as assigned
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area
