Every other Monday 3pm – 8pm
Every Thursday 11:30am – 8pm
Every other Friday 11:30am – 8pm
Every other Weekend 12 hours 7:30am – 8pm
Every other Holiday 8am – 4:30pm
- Answering and re-directing phone calls professionally and courteously
- Observe front-desk protocols for all visitors and guests
- Operate a multi-line telephone system
- Perform various duties such as mail sorting, filing & other duties as assigned
- Communicate information to staff and other individuals directly involved in resident care
- Be knowledgeable with established emergency procedures
- Keeping the reception area neat and ready for visitors
- Assist with screening employees and visitors in front lobby
- Schedule and supervise (if needed) resident in-person visiting as time permits
- Deliver items received at front entrance as time permits
- Assist Activities Department with window visits, conference calls (Zoom, Facetime, Facebook messenger, Google Duo, etc.) as time permits
Required Qualifications
- High school student or graduate preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
- Maintain dependable attendance record
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures including departmental dress code
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to read, follow oral directions and write legibly
- Must be honest, trustworthy and possess tolerance for all individuals
- Must be able to communicate with other departments
- Must have patience, tact, and willingness to deal with difficult residents, family, and staff
- Must have good physical and mental health. You will fill out an employee health history
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Able to work with employees, residents, families, physicians, therapists, consultants, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruptions
- Must have a pleasant personality and good telephone skills
- Ability to assist in evacuation of residents during an emergency
Physical Requirements/Risk Exposure
- Lift, carry, and/or transfer up to 10 pounds
- Push and/or pull up to 275 pounds
- Standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, stretching, climbing, bending, and/or twisting
- Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids
