Platform Engineer

The Role

We are searching for a talented Platform Engineer with development experience to join our newly formed Enterprise Software Engineering organization as part of the Managing Communications: Corporate Archives squad. Our group is dedicated to craft of engineering and a culture of continuous learning with a full dedicated day to upskill each week. We work as a team along with our partners in Corporate Technology Group and the Enterprise to deliver business value across many applications and functions. We are looking for open-minded individuals who take pride in delivering at a high velocity while also embracing a cloud-first mindset.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Close partnership with vendors supporting technology teams.
• Passion for learning new skills and solutions.
• Experience in modern front-end technologies and languages such as Angular, Typescript, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Node
• Experience in modern API technologies and languages such as Spring Boot, NodeJS, and Java
• DevOps management such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and Docker
• Cloud experience such as AWS/EKS/Kubectl/Helm
• Understanding of software development lifecycle.
