Under the direction of Operations Manager, the Planner is responsible for Plant scheduling and management of finished products, ingredients, and packaging deliveries. The Supply Chain Analyst will coordinate production planning/scheduling and interplant deployment functions by collaborating with Corporate Supply Chain, Distribution and Operations. This role will perform deployment of finished goods to other distributing plants with a goal of minimizing transportation cost while maximizing customer service level in the network. This individual will also be responsible for releasing required ingredients and packaging by working with the vendors and keeping the plant at optimal raw material inventory levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in planning, purchasing or supply chain required or equivalent years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years food industry experience in supply chain / planning preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Should possess good math, logical/analytical and decision-making skills
  • Self-starter and results-oriented. Logical, organized, flexible, and multi-tasked oriented.
  • Review network inventory positions and create outbound interplant loads from the manufacturing plant to other distribution plants. Task to be performed on a daily basis. When product is in short supply, be able to determine "fair share" inventory targets by DC and deploy accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Distribution and Corporate Supply Planning to ensure transportation cost per case (truck utilization) and network case fill levels are both optimized.
  • Collaborate with Distribution in providing projected inventory reports and using them to analyze warehouse capacity utilization. Help plan for seasonal high points in inventory and plans that may be required to alleviate them.
  • Compile, analyze, and develop the Production Schedule assigned manufacturing lines in the plant. Match schedule to meet demand, achieve goals for inventory levels and turns, and customer service.
  • Accomplish raw material purchase releasing, expediting, and non-conformance resolution. Achieve goals for inventory levels and turns and line supply. Manage inventory position, run-outs, and obsolete.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Daily production planning for assigned manufacturing lines and look for continuous improvement opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$59,500.00 - $89,500.00
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
