Job description
- Staffing- hiring, training, disciplinary actions, new hire paperwork, entering new staff into TimeClock and Talech, and approving hourly employee time pouches for your department
- Inventory- keeping updated and current running inventory to facilitate ease of ordering and ensuring minimal product outage
- Ordering- ordering supplies and food items in a timely manner using the approved vendors
- Stock- receive all food items and supplies in compliance with local and Federal food safety regulations, label and date all food items upon receipt, utilize FIFO, ensure proper and clean storage areas
- Record keeping- correctly coding receipts for Accounting, turning original recipes into Accounting, approving and adjusting hourly employee time punches for your department at the end of day of the last day of payroll period (every other Monday), filing completed checklists, complete daily tip log, ensure completion and retention of all equipment temp logs
- Budget- staying within set budgets for each supply category and payroll, maintain a record of your expenses to ensure you are staying within budget
- Reports- daily emails to be sent to Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager using the format that is set forth at the end of day, Daily Summary Reports for Talech submitted to Pier Store Manager
- Employee Productivity- maintain employee productivity throughout the entirety of their shift (outside of normal break times), utilize daily checklists to track productivity
- Development- throughout the season strive to find ways to improve self, employee, and product performance. During the off season develop/enhance: training methods, manuals, policies and procedures, budgets, menus and any other tasks set forth by the Owner(s), General Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager
- Guest Satisfaction- train staff to greet guests as they enter the restaurant, always offer a warm and inviting smile to guests, ensure guests receive food and drink items as they are ordered and in a timely manner.
- Catering- The Manager is responsible for pricing catering events (Cannonball, USA Bassin, and other events), ordering products, ensuring adequate staffing, prep and completion of food items, delivery of food items/supplies, and collecting payments
- Communications- train staff to answer phone calls professionally and to receive all pertinent info for guest food orders . Manager is responsible for answering store emails and any other guest communications directed towards the restaurant. Manager is responsible for prompt and professional communication between other departments and management. The Manager will traverse the dining room and personally check on guests throughout the day, especially during busier times.
- Meetings- weekly manager meetings, as needed meetings with staff
- Fountain Ice Bin- the restaurant employees are responsible for the refilling of the ice bin on the wait station fountain machine. Ensure this task is completed by utilizing the appropriate checklist(s).
- Monies- At the end of each employee's shift the Manager is responsible for collecting all monies collected by the staff. At the end of day the Manager is responsible for turning in all collected monies to the Store Manager.
- Safety- ensure staff or restaurant property do not create a safety hazard for employees or guests, this is done through daily cleaning, tidying, and prompt maintenance.
- Inspections-The Manager is responsible for ensuring all areas of the restaurant are ready for inspection by the local health officials at all times. A score below 90 will be deemed unacceptable by Prizer Point Management.
- Maintenance- daily inspect the restaurant and restaurant equipment for any issues that need maintenance and report to appropriate individuals
Other- any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Owner(s), General Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager
