Seeking a full-time / part-time Physician (CT State License) to supervise our new Diabetes Treatment division. Endocrinology experience not required and full training provided. Our clinic is founded by Dr. Gerald Valletta MD, who serves as the Medical Director off-site. If you are looking for a unique, stress free medical position, please read on.

We are excited to launch a new opportunity in the field of Diabetes Management. This innovative approach offers a MUCH healthier way to manage Diabetes and is best described as “dialysis for the pancreas”. More details available about the treatment when needed.

This treatment is administered to the patient over a 3 hour time period. After 2 treatments per week for 4 weeks, patients will be on a maintenance schedule of 1 visit per month. Our clinic will have 8 stations so we can treat 8 patients at a time.

The MD’s responsibility will be on-site supervising LPN’s. One LPN can oversee 4 stations where they will check on each patient every 15 minutes and changing dosing if / as needed. On a typical day, we will run 2 shifts: a morning and an afternoon. Staffing will be an MD or NP on-site along with 2 LPN’s.

This will be a relatively low key, stress free position for the MD/NP. This treatment is paid for by Medicare and most insurance, so part of the responsibilities will be satisfying insurance requirements relating to examinations, noting / charting etc…

Responsibilities:

• Perform examinations of patients to determine candidacy
• Supervise LPNs
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to and from other healthcare professionals
• Refer patients to other services within our clinic (peripheral neuropathy, joint pain, PRP).

Qualifications:

• Ability to build rapport with patients and staff
• Ability to thrive in an independent, Supervisor roll
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: Hourly & Bonus = $225,000 - $250,000 per year
