State of the art interventional pain management practice in the Greenwood SC area currently seeking Physician Assistant to join our team of talented physicians.

The mid-level provider will:

• Meet with new patients to orient them about services, to identify needs, and to suggest treatments.
• See ambulatory patients in the pain management clinic for laboratory testing, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic pain.
• Refer issues to a physician as needed.
• Write prescriptions and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
• Schedule follow-up visits in office or unit as needed.
• Perform physical examinations.
• Act as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of patients and staff.
• Maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with staff to identify patients' needs and to help develop plan to meet those needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Unrestricted Physician Assistant license required
• 2+ years’ experience as a Physician Assistant
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
• Confidence to work independently
• The ideal candidate will be an independent problem-solver who communicates and works well with all levels of management, physicians, clinicians, related support staff, and patients.
• Experience in pain management or similar field desired, but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational and time management skills are a must.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
• Current approval by the joint Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,254.83 - $117,124.09 per year
