Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the direct patient care of physical therapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings including evaluations, treatments, and development and modification as needed of a plan of care. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

1. Performs patient evaluations.
2. Implements a plan of care revising it as warranted.
3. Coordinates, collaborates and communicates with physicians, department staff, nursing staff, and patients any recommendations, plans of care, revisions to the plan of care, and education associated with care.
4. Documents evaluations, treatments, progress/re-evaluation notes, recommendations, and status in the patient record.
5. Oversees the work performed by Physical Therapist Assistants.
6. Sets up and maintains equipment and supplies.
7. Keeps work areas clean, organized, and stocked.

Bachelor’s degree - Required

BLS is required

Required Licenses
Physical Therapist
Licensure as a Physical Therapist from the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
