Aspirus is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The Physical Therapist Assistant carries outpatient treatment procedures for pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the guidance and general supervision of a licensed physical therapist (PT).

This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE/80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday 8am – 4:30pm. 1 in 4 weekends, 1 holiday per year.

Experience and Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required.
• Post graduate education in patient treatment techniques and experience in general physical therapy treatment beneficial.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Possesses current Wisconsin and/or Michigan licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
