Job description

Looking to hire pharm techs with at least 1 year of experience for an oncology clinic in Prescott. Applicants must have either oral, IV, and/or compounding experience to qualify. PTCB accreditation greatly improves hiring chances. Case management and prior auth experience will help as well. Full time, M-F position with standard hours. WEEKLY PAY. Job responsibilities:

• Assist with admixing drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines and preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines and interoffice guidelines.
• Assist in counting controlled drugs weekly and maintain records; properly dispose all materials used when mixing chemo or non-chemo IVs.
• Assist with required cleaning and maintenance of the admix area and the pharmacy department.
• Assist with quality assurance activities as assigned.
• Assist in keeping accurate temperature logs, accurate logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs, and proper control documentation of medications including lot numbers.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Check all orders for completeness of information; verify patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Provide support with inventory control of medications.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Patient Insurance Authorization Specialist preferred but not required

Qualifications:

PTCB Certification

Oncology experience preferred.

Sterile compounding experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
