About the role....
The Pharmacy Technician Liaison is responsible for providing efficient day-to-day coordination and internal marketing of pharmacy services. Performs client visits, pharmacy transfers, implements and facilitates pharmacy-marketing activities as needed, triages challenges resolving them with skilled diplomacy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and is able to explain the CareFil system (box, shipping, forms, transfer) to others.
- Obtains, manages and follows-up on client transfers assuring optimal use of Integrity Pharmacy.
- Accurately identifies medications and their actions to help clients manage them more efficiently.
- Interacts with others in a friendly service-oriented manner, utilizing problem solving skills and diplomacy while developing and maintaining on-going professional relationships.
- Available resource/educator in identification of pharmacy candidates and fulfillment of client needs.
- Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing objectives to internal resources, using creativity, initiative and ingenuity to achieve business growth goals.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Prepares and submits timely written documentation as required by policy.
- Attends teleconferences and various required meetings, as directed by supervisor, unless absence is preapproved.
- Practices safety, environmental, and infection control measures.
- Observes, documents and timely reports any changes or concerns in client condition to the appropriate personnel and completes mandatory reporting, “hot-lining”, when appropriate, as required by law.
- Complies with Compliance Plan.
- Complies with HIPAA Policies. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to the patient and family. Will discuss only those aspects necessary to the care and treatment of patient and family with those directly involved in the patient’s care.
- As business needs may change, may perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor reasonably related to the position.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- High School Diploma
Experience:
- Six (6) months experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must be self-motivated, detailed, accurate and have the ability to multitask.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to a demanding and changing schedule.
- Ability to plan and organize time effectively, work independently and show good judgment.
- Ability to provide reliable transportation and travel as needed, completing visits in remote locations.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, families and co-workers.
- Ability to interact and exhibit an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Frequent Standing/Walking
- Ability to Lift/Carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasional Reaching Above Shoulder Level
- Adequate Vision and Manual Dexterity
