We are looking for someone who wants to help Furriendly Critter Sitters LLC provide the highest level of care for their pets when they cannot do it themselves. You should have experience working with animals and knowledge about the general needs of dogs, cats and small rodents. You will be responsible for offering general care for a range of animals, along with walking and cleaning up after dogs of every breed and size. You should love the outdoors and enjoy playing with pets who are energetic. Our pet sitting service strives to provide high-level care while offering our employees a flexible schedule.

This position is for someone to provide services in the Cocoa, Rockledge, Viera, and Suntree areas. It would be ideal for the applicant to live in or near Rockledge.

This position starts slow, as part time. As you grow your list of clientele, it has the potential to move to full time as our business continues to grow.

Here is what we ask you to do:

• Clean up after, exercise, and provide care for cats, dogs and small rodents, includes dog walking services and litter box and cage cleaning
• Observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet
• Feed and provide water based upon client instructions, which may be very detailed and must be followed exactly as given
• Meet with potential clients to secure business, advertise services provided and explain the details of how pet sitting works
• Report any injuries or illnesses to manager as soon as possible
• Respect clients’ homes and personal property when on-site offering pet sitting services, includes cleaning up any pet messes
• Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail, watering plants and opening and closing blinds or curtains
• Check and follow schedule provided by the main office and report any conflicts or issues to manager as soon as possible but at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled sitting appointment
• Participate in our social media campaigns to include: taking photos, shooting video, and making graphics.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates on the dogs' walks and address any concerns or questions they may have

Some basic job requirements:

Required:

• Over 18 years of age
• Able to pass a background check
• Local full-time resident of Titusville, FL or the surrounding area
• Able to receive regular paychecks
• Able to commit to this position for 6-12 months from date of hire
• Must love animals
• Have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Ability to work varying schedules to include weekends, holidays, overnights, and even 24-hour care in a client's home
• Be physically fit with the ability to walk multiple dogs at once
• Cell phone to run our online software and communicate with clients. An unlimited data plan is a plus.
• Must live in or close to the Rockledge area as you will be serving Cocoa, Rockledge, Viera, and Suntree

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with animals, especially large dog breeds
• Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
