The Personnel & Staffing Manager is a full time, exempt position, Monday - Friday, regular business hours.


Personnel & Staffing Manager at Sage works predominantly from home with travel to the Burlingame office.


Our Home Care team at Sage Eldercare Solutions is seeking a Personnel & Staffing Manager to play a key role in scheduling our growing and talented team of care providers. This role works in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, under the supervision of the Recruitment & Personnel Management Supervisor.

This is an ideal role for a professional with proven ability to provide effective supervision grounded in knowledge and experience in the field of aging, or other relevant work experience. A successful candidate is passionate about supporting caregivers working with older adults and adults with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma required
  • A background in geriatrics, home care, or related healthcare industry is highly desirable
  • Maintains high level attention to detail: Detail oriented in attending to the day to day needs and concerns of clients and staff requiring follow up while not allowing important tasks to fall through the cracks
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates reliability and efficiency by timely follow- through on assigned tasks
  • Able to establish positive rapport with supervisees, inspiring mutual trust, and high quality performance
  • Tenacious and creative problem-solver
  • Proficiency with computer software programs: Google Drive, documents & spreadsheets, time management software, email, calendar and mobile applications
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in interviewing and screening of new Care Providers, to ensure they meet skill and experience levels required by Sage, and support our commitment to exceptional care.
  • Build positive rapport with Care Providers to maximize their commitment to working with our clients.
  • Understand the ‘art’ and ‘science’ of matching Care Providers with clients in order to provide the ‘best fit’ for both client and care provider in terms of caregiving skills and quality of life interests
  • Maintain up-to-date availability of all active Care Providers as well as an accurate description of open client staffing requests.
  • Promote a high level of morale among Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) by showing appreciation of the importance of their work with Sage
  • Participates in on-call rotation (approximately once every 7 weeks)
