Salary Information
Peer Mentor I: $16.17 - $18.59 per hour based on experience.
Peer Mentor II: $17.56 - $20.19 per hour based on experience.

Role:
Under the supervision of the Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator, the Peer Mentor role will provide support for people with I/DD to advocate for their own goals; assist them in building independent lives; assist with person centered planning goals; help access people and resources within the community; guide with the principle of self-determination.

Work with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities; regular business hours; may be some evenings and weekends.
Job Specific Requirements:
Peer Mentor I or II: Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license; high school diploma or equivalent. Must have received public mental health services currently or in the past for an intellectual/developmental disability; be willing to work 20 hours per week; meet the MDHHS approval process for specialized training and be willing to complete the MDHHS specialized training.
Peer Mentor II - Successful completion of MDHHS Specialized Peer Mentor training.
