About Autism Matters

Autism Matters, Inc. is a private corporation offering center-based services for families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other diagnoses. We help children reach their full potential by combining the expertise of nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Behavior Therapists by collaborating together to best provide services to our clients. Speech-Language Pathologists provide services to both children attending Autism Matter’s ABA day program, as well as outpatient clients.

Job Summary:

Autism Matters is looking for a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (CF’s welcome!) to join our collaborative team of SLPs, OTs, BCBAs and Licensed Professionals. The role of a Speech Language Pathologist at Autism Matters is to provide the highest quality and standard of speech, language and/or feeding services to children with ASD and other diagnoses. Candidates for this position must be self-motivated, thrive in fast paced environments, open to collaboration across disciplines and have a strong passion for working with children and their families. Qualities of a SLP at Autism Matters include: professional, self-motivating, independent, organized, communicative, observant, thorough, and collaborative.

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time (Hours: 20-40 hours)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality direct speech, language and/or feeding services
  • Conducts speech, language and/or feeding therapy evaluations and annual reassessments
  • Maintains timely and effective written documentation of evaluations, reassessments, treatment plans, and daily progress notes
  • Participates in interdisciplinary collaboration during meetings, overlaps, and trainings
  • Manages time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Communicates and educates effectively with staff, parents, and caregivers

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Licensed by Minnesota Department of Health
  • Be in your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or have obtained your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs)
  • Experience working with children, preferably children with Autism (preferred)

Physical Demands:

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to work between the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday, some potential flexibility
  • Be able to sit, stand, and kneel throughout the day
