Summary/Objective

The Financial Analyst provides financial and fundamental analysis that will facilitate decision making for senior management. The Financial Analyst will support all functional areas of Pearl.

Essential Functions

Strategic Management

• Assist in the preparation of annual and long-range operating plans through evaluation of historical performance, outlook business plan, and competitor analysis.
• Partner cross-functionally to develop financial models to support key business decisions.
• Conduct analyses to evaluate proposed investments and projects to assess the impact of risks.
• Analyze customer profitability through the review of business drivers and cost tracing.

Reporting and Control

• Support the financial view of Pearl financial results across multiple financial statements and working capital management, including the development and analysis of key financial ratios
• Track and maintain reporting for multiple revenue and expense streams, including management of key operational metrics.
• Perform monthly variance analysis to forecast and concisely communicate drivers to key stakeholders.
• Develop and/or continuously improve standard monthly reporting mechanisms to be leveraged across the business.

Technology and Analytics

• Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate technology’s ability to meet business needs.
• Assist in the development and execution of controls to ensure data is accurate and properly controlled.
• Extract, transform and analyze data using the best tools available to present information that assists in business decision making.
• Build and maintain driver-based models utilizing different data sources for different functions.
• Create charts, tables, graphs, etc. that assist in communicating complex concepts.
• Support ad-hoc projects and requests as they arise, with agility.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.

A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in financial analysis.

Advanced proficiency in Excel.
