Job: PC Technician

Job description: The PC Technician will perform routine PC maintenance, deploy new computer systems and various technological components (such as Wi-Fi APs, printers, etc.) assist the Lead Technician/Junior Administrator in day-to-day IT duties. The position may require driving to multiple locations throughout the day at times around Summit County. The position, initially a subcontracted position, can easily develop into a part-time permanent position as it moves into a Technical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the service of a number of small business IT needs in the Summit County area.
• Complete IT projects (PC rollouts, WiFi installs, etc) as directed.
• Document work, changes, ideas, solutions etc for reference.

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Solid understanding of PC hardware components.
• Solid understanding of Desktop Windows operating systems.
• Personable and able to establish customer relationships.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues.
• Ability to work self-guided given they have a clear understanding of project at hand.

Not-required but would be an advantage:

• Understanding of TCP/IP
• Microsoft Certification
• Understanding of Sharepoint and Teams within Office365
• Understanding of Windows Server OS’s
• Familiarity with MacOS
• Familiarity with both iOS and Android

Compensation:

$15/hour temp to perm subcontract to part-time.
