Description of Responsibilities
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of all billing aspects of home infusion services to patients/clients. Also collaborates with the Billing Manager in resolving billing issues with insurance carriers and patients; and monitoring and keeping our accounts receivables at an acceptable range. The Billing Supervisor plays a key role in acting as liaison between the billing department and intake department and alerting staff from each department about any billing-related changes and/or updates for infusion services.

Responsibilities include the following:
1. Coordinates billing and collection of infusion and nursing services for the pharmacy.
2. Management of day to day billing operations.
3. Assigning DTs as applicable.
4. Month-end reports / billing reports.
5. Refund requests.
6. Cash pays.
7. Reviewing and submitting claims.
8. Payment / settlement negotiations.
9. Time management and performance evaluations of assigned billing department staff.
10. Staff training as needed.
11. ACME / PHC audit and review for accuracy.
12. Payment postings.
13. Faxing EOBs, spreadsheet for accounts payable
14. Resolves electronic (Office Ally, Novologix, or Emdeon clearing house) report matters.
15. Interfaces with staff in other departments to gather information needed for accurate and complete billing.
16. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
17. Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
18. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
19. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
20. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
2. Office experience preferred.
3. Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
4. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.
5. Must be detail oriented

Education and/or Experience:
-Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
-Minimum of 2 years medical or pharmaceutical billing experience or related A/R.
-Must have 2 years’ experience managing NCPDP
-Knowledge of insurance verification procedures.
-Prior experience in a pharmacy or home health company is of benefit.
-Prior experience in a consumer related business is also of benefit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
