Position Overview
The Davey Tree Expert Company has a career opportunity in the Kent, Ohio corporate office for a full-time Payroll Specialist.
Job Duties
Essential Functions:
- Maintains payroll information by collecting and entering data.
- Prepare checks for mailing and distribution
- Administering certified payroll
- Garnishments/child support orders
- Union reporting
- Processing of payroll tax transfers
- Daily payroll related duties
- Responding to phone inquiries
- Assist with audits by providing document research
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong skills in Excel
- Protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of effectively interacting with professional staff
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidentiality
Education and/or experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
- SAP R/3 knowledge is a plus.
