Description:
Ensure payroll compliance: The specialist must be familiar with all legal and regulatory requirements related to payroll in each country in which the company operates. They must ensure that all payroll processes are compliant with these requirements.
Manage payroll processing: The specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time. This involves reviewing employee timesheets.
Handle employee inquiries: The specialist must be available to address any questions or concerns that employees may have regarding their paychecks, taxes, or other payroll-related issues.
Manage benefits: The specialist may also be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, such as retirement plans and health insurance.
Ensure data accuracy: The specialist must ensure that all payroll data is accurate and up-to-date. They may also be responsible for maintaining payroll records and preparing reports for management.
Collaborate with other departments: The specialist must work closely with other departments, such as HR and finance, to ensure that payroll processes are aligned with overall company goals and objectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends: The specialist must stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to payroll processing and compliance.
Review time sheets, attendance records, or other data to ensure accurate hours
Calculate and track employee earnings, benefits, and deductions
Verify and reconcile various pay codes such as comp time and leave without pay
Work with payroll company and manage out of state remote employees’ tax registrations and any updates and filings
Enter data into the payroll system
Verify and reconcile payroll, tax, and other deductions
Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and other departments
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and company policies
Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in multiple states
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with payroll software and systems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with payroll software and systems
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Familiarity with with month end accounting processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
