As the Payer Services Manager – Vendor Relations, you will be responsible for collaborative leadership, strategic direction, and overall day to day management of our scalable resource partner. This position will be the primary point of contact for the resource partner and will support the VP of RCM and Payer Services with ensuring appropriate staffing, high productivity, accuracy of work output, and ability to support internal teams. Requires cross functional collaboration with provider credentialing, contracting, and the franchise and MN billing teams. This position will need to be on-site at our Mendota Heights, MN location on a varying basis. Essential Duties
- Design and enforce all policies and procedures relating to external credentialing, contracting, and revenue cycle vendor resources to ensure efficiency and quality of work
- Provide overall direction to vendor resources so ensure that revenue cycle management and quality objectives and performance goals are achieved
- Closely manage vendor productivity by monitoring key support functions performed by vendor partner in credentialing, contracting, and revenue cycle management
- Establish and monitor effective revenue cycle KPIs and standardized reporting to ensure high level of efficiency and accuracy of dedicated resources
- Design and implement an effective communications and support capability to ensure timely and accurate status reporting to credentialing, contracting, and RCM department leaders
- Develop and implement staffing strategies to using workforce planning and technology to achieve efficient and effective revenue cycle management operations
- Facilitates ad hoc and recurring calls resource vendor
- Review results of quality audits and provide regular feedback and training
- Develop training plans for resource vendor
- Reports on risks, barriers, accomplishments and progress to vendor management leadership and other departments on both a recurring and ad hoc basis.
- Manage resources dedicated to establishing electronic funds transfer applications and obtaining payer fee schedules for franchise clinics
- Maintain knowledge of the reimbursement landscape nationally
- Stay up-to-date state and federal regulations regarding credentialing, contracting, and revenue cycle management
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Ellie’s mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
- 7+ years of experience in national revenue cycle management with an expert working knowledge of the entire payer credentialing, contracting, and revenue cycle management process
- 5+ years supervisory experience
- 5+ years of working with revenue cycle vendors
- 2+ years of experience working with offshore revenue cycle vendors
- Working knowledge of Behavioral Health credentialing, contracting, and billing
- Strong analytical, financial, and quantitative analysis skills
- Demonstrated track record of progressive leadership positions and skills
- High level of proven communication skills, including written, verbal and conceptual presentation
- Must be able to set priorities, delegate duties, display initiative and be accountable for specific outcomes as well as that of the department as a whole
- Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic growth environment
- Strong execution skills consistently meeting deadlines
- Ability to grasp new initiatives quickly
- Creative problem solver, strategic thinker and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
