BayCare's General and Vascular Surgery Clinic is seeking a Patient Services Representative! This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our front desk! Hours would be Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. No nights, weekends or holidays!Description of Duties:
- Greets and checks in patients.
- Assists patients in filling out patient forms.
- Answers phones, takes messages, routes calls when necessary.
- Develops patient charts.
- Enters pertinent information into patient charts.
- Schedules patient appointments.
- Collects co-payments from patients.
- Performs general office duties.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.
- A minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Post high school coursework in Medical Terminology and/or HealthCare Business Services is appropriate.
- Must have a working knowledge of medical terms and health insurance.
- Must possess strong desktop computer skills.
- Experience with EPIC is preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
