We are seeking applicants to begin training as Hemodialysis Technicians and are in need of CHT's to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will receive paid, on-the-job training. The extensive training program will take place at the work location with a team of other PCT's and will prepare you to take a State exam.

We have three positions available at our Lompoc location. There may be future opportunities to work at our Santa Barbara location. These are 12 hour shifts 3 days per week. Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required.

Once you have been fully trained and certified, you will be responsible for monitoring and providing patient care under the supervision of our staff nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist medical staff in the treatment of patients
  • Monitor systems per medical staff directions
  • Communicate patient needs and updates to medical personnel
  • Continuous communication with patients and their families
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
  • Maintain complete and detailed patient records
  • Responsible for maintaining certification of 30 CEU’s for renewal every 4 years.

Qualifications: Patient Care Technician/ Certified Hemodialysis Technician

Patient Care Technician: High School Graduate or equivalent and of 1 year of experience working as CNA, MA or in any other health related settings.

Certified Hemodialysis Technician: Completion of a Certified Hemodialysis training program valid in the state of California and approved by the medical director.Experience working with Hemodialysis machine, automatic blood pressure component, water treatment equipment. Conductivity meter, bicarbonate mixer, electronic scales for patient weight, sphygmomanometer, electronic thermometer, blood glucose meter, oxygen tank and suction equipment and wheelchairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.52 per hour
