First Branch Unified District is seeking a dynamic candidate to support work within our essential rotation blocks with Art, PE, library, music and core content area teachers. The Pathways teacher will be responsible for creating a scaffolded curriculum aligned with WRVSU Capstone Project and Proficiency Based Graduation requirements for 8th grade graduation. Such work may include digital citizenship, financial literacy, internship placement, community services, school based jobs, community advocacy, trade based occupation experiences, entrepreneurship, etc.. The Pathways & Capstone teacher will also work closely with our PreSchool program and our counselor.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year are in accordance with the current Master Contract and salary schedule.Successful Candidates Should Have: -A current Vermont Teacher certification in an academic area or be eligible for a provisional license-Experience working with middle school students in and outside of school hours.-Demonstrated ability to collaborate.-Demonstrate innovative thinking within a school community-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively-Strong time management skills and project management skills-Experience working outside the box in thinking and planning within public school-Have strong community connections or the ability to create these connections efficiently and respectfully
