Overview: This position is responsible for producing and merchandising pastries, traditional cakes, special occasion cakes, and specialty items for customers. Duties include creating exciting items for displays, maximizing profitability through creating products that are highly salable yet economical in labor and ingredients, as well as meeting with customers to conduct consultations for special orders. Overall, this position is responsible for ensuring fresh and appealing pastries and cakes are available and customers orders are produced exactly as specified.

Day in the Life:
Location: Primarily in bakery kitchen and sales floor.

What to Expect: We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a wide assortment of exciting, trend-forward, and customizable pastries, cakes, pies, cupcakes, and tortes for any and all special events. You will provide expertise in driving sales through dominant displays and a correct product assortment, ordering and controlling inventory, and effective in-store promotional demonstrations. You will also be responsible for maintaining the pastry room in a visually appealing order and maintaining safety and sanitation policies and department presentation and quality expectations.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates have one or more years of decorating and baking experience as well as the successful completion of the L&B Pastry Chef/Decorator Apprentice Program or equivalent.
